Our Legacy
Symfon of Norway was founded in the early 1990s by Thorleif Holm-Glad in Oslo, with a vision to create microphones of the highest quality using unconventional materials and military-grade technology.
Although the company never reached full-scale commercial production, the few microphones that were produced became legendary in professional audio circles. Today we carry this legacy forward — with the same uncompromising approach to design and craftsmanship that has defined Symfon since the beginning.
From a historic presentation to the Audio Engineering Society and NRK in 1991, to today’s handcrafted microphones — Symfon represents the pinnacle of Norwegian audio technology.
